What We Do
Our core expertise is asset management. We have deep experience in fund formation, preparation of offering materials, negotiation of investor-facing documentation, and negotiation of the trading agreements necessary to access global markets, including prime brokerage, futures and cleared derivatives, the full range of ISDA documentation, and repurchase agreements, including MRAs, GMRAs and cleared repo. We are experienced negotiating the full range of custodial documentation, including primary custody arrangements, regulatory margin arrangements, and the specialized documentation required to trade on-shore in the PRC and in other global markets.

Why "VMG"?
"VMG" is a sailboat racing term. It means "velocity made good". Sailing fast and winning races demands mastery of the complex and dynamic interaction between wind and water. As you sail too close or too far off the direction of the wind, your boat slows down. In between your boat speeds up, but that's no help if it doesn't move you closer to your next mark. The fastest course to the next mark is rarely straight at the mark - instead, it is the course that produces the highest velocity made good towards the mark. That optimal course constantly shifts and requires agile maneuvering to get there ahead of the competition.
